The regional union of the communes Bohdanecsko was founded in 2000 with a goal to support the development of communes surrounding the natural center of Lazne Bohdanec, the only spa place in the Pardubice region. The flat surface formed by the middle-age ponds attracts its visitors to stroll, unexacting bicycle trips or horse riding. 100km of bicycle roads await its visitor along the Opatovice canal. The calm stream of the Opatovice canal is perfect for casual rafters. Many ponds offer options of taking a quality bath. In the Bohdanec communes many natural resources can be also found. Visitors are offered services such as accommodation, restaurants, bicycle rent or golf courses.
